Glass Courses at the Glass Hub

MASTERCLASS: Printing Techniques for Glass
with Philippa Beveridge

COURSE OUTLINE:

From linoleum cuts to decals, this four-day course will cover surface decoration and printing techniques using both mediums, as well as kiln-forming techniques from fusing and slumping to basic mould-making. The class will focus on the potential for using lino cuts for printing (resists, enamels, sizer for gilding etc), as well as taking moulds from them – using them for both slumping and casting. The use of decals for printed effects on glass will also be explored. The techniques covered and individual responses will be assessed in light of their great potential for both architectural and sculptural glass work.
