Glass Fusing for Christmas
with Jessica Clifford

COURSE OUTLINE
Come along and enjoy a fun and festive session of glass fusing.  You will have the opportunity to create your own seasonal decorations including stars, trees, icicles, snowmen and more. It is suitable for those new to fusing or those with experience. We will work with compatible glass and a variety of decorative processes using frits, mica, metal and other inclusions. You will be able to make up to 5 decorations per 2 hour session or you can book all three for a whole day's creative glassmaking.

Have a look at what others have made using fusing on google images ...lots of ideas from trees, stars, snowflakes, snowmen or unique colourful designs.

IMPORTANT! Due to the cooling down processes involved with all glassmaking it is not possible for students to take work home on the day it is made. Work needs to cool slowly in our kilns and may be collected at a later time by arrangement or carefully packaged and posted to you for £10.

TUTOR PROFILE - JESSICA CLIFFORD
Jessica Clifford studied for a BA in Decorative Arts at Nottingham Trent University. She spent her degree expanding her experience of glass and practised many technical processes such as fusing, slumping, casting, drop moulds, cold working and also kiln programming. Her inspiration comes from nature, more specifically the sea and life within the sea. Her current work is inspired by her upbringing on the south coast, the natural colours or textures, which start with line drawings from life, and are then incorporated into her glass work. Jess also sells handmade fused dichroic jewellery through her business cliffordjessglass. Jess is currently the glass intern at The Glass Hub.
