Glass Courses at the Glass Hub

One Day Further Glassblowing
with KT Yun

student learns techniques glassblowing - further glassblowing course

COURSE OUTLINE
An excellent follow-on day for those who have already taken part in a beginners glassblowing class, providing an opportunity to consolidate skills learned in the previous session. You will gain further experience in gathering, handling and forming hot glass. We will focus on the development of key skills, while manipulating the glass into the form of a bowl or plate.

IMPORTANT! Due to the cooling down processes involved with all glassmaking it is not possible for students to take work home on the day it is made. Work needs to cool slowly overnight and may be collected at a later time by arrangement, or alternatively, we can package and post work on for an additional postal fee of £20 per box.

TUTOR PROFILE - KT YUN
KT uses hot glass as her chosen artistic material and is passionate about the process as well as the product, using traditional techniques and merging them into contemporary styling - producing unique and graphic imagery. Her creations investigate the fluidity and possibilities of glass in its liquid form. KT has travelled and worked in many glass factories and studios throughout Europe, including Philip Baldwin and Monica Guggisberg, Lino Tagliapietra and Dale Chihuly. She was an original founder of the Liquid Glass Centre, but has more recently worked with glassblower Sonja Klingler. KT is a co-director of Minimelt Glass, producing small mobile glass blowing furnaces, and co-director of The Glass Hub.
